Extra – Curricular Programme

The Extra -Curricular Programme includes sport and cultural activities offered as seasonal options during the school year. The school seeks to broaden participation through opportunities for all children to participate in scheduled activities offered at school. We play to win with an emphasis on sportsmanship and fair play and learn from our losses.

Sport

On the sports field, we compete against mainly Lusaka schools while regular termly fixtures are arranged with Victoria Falls Primary School. Selected tournaments are attended in Zimbabwe. Musikli hosts an Annual Hockey Festival, Development Gala and Cricket & Tennis Festival. Pupils’ are allocated to one of two sport houses; Kaleya (blue) and Magoye (yellow), named after local rivers. Cultural and Clubs

Boys and Girls
Drama: The annual senior (Grade 4 -7) concert is held at the end of the 2nd    school term. The annual end of year play (Grade R - 3) is held at the end of the 3rd school term.
Choir: We have two choirs at Musikili. Junior Choir – 8, 9 and 10 year olds or Grade 3, 4 and 5. Senior Choir – 10, 11 and 12 year olds or Grade 6 and 7. All children are encouraged to take part in the choirs.
Art club: Junior and Senior groups are available for pupils.
Guitars: The club is open to all interested children who have a guitar.
Class Music: All classes are allocated one period per week for class music.
Chess: Open to any pupil who has an interest in the game.
